on a business trip and because of her great skills he immediately made her a partner in the firm. After several years of working together Cleveland, smitten by love and devotion married her and made her his only partner for life. |

| Ruth Halverson Grant June 30, 1916 - March 30, 2003 Ruth Halverson Grant, 86, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2003, from complications related to a stroke earlier in the month. She lived with her daughter, Phoebe J. Grant, and grand-daughter, Felicia M. Lewis-Grant the joy of her life, in Chicago for the past 9 years. Her days recently were enjoyed at the Alzheimer's Family Care Center, with the excellent assistance of A Helping Hand for transportation. Originally from Mineral Point, WI, the daughter of Elsie (Brown) and Henry Halverson, Ruth was the wife and business partner of Cleveland P. Grant for more than 50 years until his death in 1985. Ruth also lived in Pinellas Park, Florida for a few years in the early 1990s as a companion to Cleve's sister Margaret and enjoyed her sister Margaret's family there. Ruth lived beyond most of her family and many of the multitude of friends acquired during her and Cleve's extensive travels throughout North America. She continues in the hearts and memories of those surviving. Following cremation, there will be a memorial open house in Chicago on June 8. Ruth will be interred in Mineral Point the weekend of June 21-22, followed by a memorial gathering at a local restaurant. Contact Phoebe J.
