LeRoy P. Tyree "T Mambo Jazz"

Tyree, formally an associate of Miguel Mendez at the Dance Academy of Salsa, has taught well over a thousand students at various Chicago City College Campuses and Bally Total Fitness Health Clubs.

His training over ten years has included several of the best instructors locally and from New York. He is a proponent of the Eddie Torres version of New York Style Salsa/Mambo of dancing inside the rhythm (on 2). He prefers dancing to Latin Jazz and emphasizes a "smooth slick" style of dancing.

His teaching style is very comprehensive, focusing on timing, technique, styling, and creativity. He presents his material through lecturing, hand outs, vidios, and timing tapes. His presentations are done in a structured manner. He is able to breakdown complex material into it's simpliest elements so the students can better understand. He expects his students to put in the practice time necessary for them to master his material.

Tyree and his partner are available for exhibitions, workshops,
and class instruction at various venues.
